I was born on a crisp November day In 1982… Just kidding! I wont take you back that far!

Basically what you need to know is I’m one of the lucky ones who loves what I do. I was educated at a great beauty school (Scott Cole Academy 2002-2003) and then received incredible training at my first salon. (Aveda 2003-2007) taught both hair and business.

While at Aveda, I became a color educator, attended conferences and presented hairstyles on stages all over the country. I was even chosen by an elite group to represent the US on stage in PARIS! It was an incredible experience. I met young hairdressers from all over the world and learned so much!

When I moved on from Aveda, I took a chair at a small salon called The Spot (2008-2009) and was introduced to Davines, a product line synonymous with beauty and sustainability. It’s the line I continue to use today.

At the end of 2009, I joined forces with my childhood best friend, LeAnne, and together (with a crazy amount of help from my mom!) we opened The Roose Parlour & Spa. It quickly grew from one side of a tiny duplex to a whole historic bungalow in the Roosevelt Row Arts District.

In 2010, we were recognized in ELLE Magazine as one of the top 100 salons in the country and stayed on the list for five more years! In 2017 we expanded into a commercial space with six styling chairs, two nail stations, and two spa rooms. It was beautiful! We had a ton of incredible talent come and go over the years and even had a clothing boutique for a bit (Notions & Clotherie).

In 2020, well you know, it was 2020. I discovered a large salon full of people was no longer where I wanted to practice my craft. After 11 years in business, I closed The Roose. Shortly after, I transitioned to a solo act with space at Daisy Girl Co. on McDowell Rd in Phoenix.

The Roose is now Roose Beauty, and am thrilled to embrace a simpler professional life. My two gorgeous kiddos (Wells 2014 & Mae 2016) keep life busy enough!
